Soprano // Musical Director // Teacher

Maria is a London-based musician and classically-trained soprano working as a singer, music director and teacher. Now a recent graduate of Music at King’s College London, she received the Music Director scholarship at St Mary le Strand for the 2022-23 academic year, before being promoted to Assistant Director of Music in early 2023, becoming involved with choral music with various churches and choirs in London. She once again received this scholarship for the 2023-24 academic year.

She has studied voice with former principal of the Royal Welsh Opera, David Kirby-Ashmore, as well as opera singers Chloe Pardoe and Hannah Thomas (the latter at the Royal Academy of Music). Maria currently studies clarinet with Paul Harris.

Recent student projects have included NYMT’s Into the Woods (Assistant Musical Director/Synthesiser), and King’s Musical Theatre Society’s productions of The Last Five Years (Musical Director) and Little Shop of Horrors (Musical Director).
